What Courses Will I Need to Complete?
- Blackjack and other banked card games:
- Class is 100 hours
- You must successfully complete Blackjack to progress to other games
- Carnival Games (Criss Cross Poker, Spanish 21, Three Card Poker, Ultimate Texas Hold'em, Mississippi Stud, Let it Ride):
- Carnival games is 40 hours
- Additional games will be offered. Each casino has minimum game requirements.

What is Common Criteria to be a Dealer?
- Be at least 18 years old
- Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid license by the PA Gaming Control Board, which includes a background check
- Pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must have basic math skills to calculate without assistance, manual dexterity, color perception, and the ability to stand for long periods of time
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
- Be trained in a minimum number of games (varies by casino)
- Successfully pass an audition
- Be able to work in an environment with exposure to alcohol, cigarette and cigar smoke, bright lights and loud noises
